Terms & Conditions
1. Scope of Services
1.1 Services Provided: We provide drafting and documentation services for electrical as-built drawings based on information supplied by the client, including marked-up drawings, photographs, and supporting documentation.
1.2 Basis of Drawings: All as-built drawings are prepared solely from information provided by the client. We do not independently verify installed works unless expressly agreed in writing.
1.3 No Design Responsibility: We do not provide electrical design services. As-built drawings reflect recorded installation only and do not confirm compliance with original design intent, the NCC, or Australian Standards unless explicitly stated in writing.
2. RPEQ Certification & Form 15
2.1 Conditional Availability: RPEQ certification and Form 15 sign-off are not automatic and are subject to: - Engineering review at quotation or engagement stage - Acceptance of scope by the RPEQ engineer - Provision of adequate evidence by the client (including photographs)
2.2 Evidence Requirements: The client acknowledges that certification may require photographic or other documentary evidence of installed works. Failure to provide required evidence may prevent certification.
2.3 No Guarantee of Certification: We do not guarantee that RPEQ certification or a Form 15 will be issued. Certification remains at the professional discretion of the RPEQ engineer.
2.4 Limitation of Certification Scope: Where issued, Form 15 certification relates only to as-built documentation, based on supplied information, and does not constitute independent verification of construction works.
RPEQ certification, where required, is provided by a registered external engineer and is subject to engineering review.
2.5 Certification Not Possible Due to Missing Information: Where RPEQ certification and/or Form 15 sign-off has been quoted but cannot be completed solely due to the client’s failure to provide required information or evidence (including but not limited to photographs, mark-ups, or supporting documentation):
- No RPEQ certification or Form 15 will be issued; and
- The client will not be charged for the RPEQ certification component of the quoted fee.
Drafting and documentation services already completed remain payable.
3. Client Responsibilities
3.1 Accuracy of Information: The client warrants that all information supplied is accurate, complete, and reflects the works performed.
3.2 Timely Supply: Delays in supplying information or evidence will delay delivery timelines.
3.3 Acceptance of Workflow: The client acknowledges that RPEQ involvement may be required at the quotation stage and agrees to cooperate with this process.
4. Revisions & Changes
4.1 Included Revisions: One (1) revision round is included unless otherwise stated in writing.
4.2 Additional Revisions: Additional revisions caused by incomplete, incorrect, or changed information will be charged as a variation.
4.3 Post-Certification Changes: Any changes requested after RPEQ certification will void the certification and require re-review.
5. Use of Drawings
5.1 Intended Use: As-built drawings are provided for handover documentation purposes only.
5.2 Prohibited Use: Drawings must not be used for construction, design modification, future works, or maintenance planning without independent verification.
5.3 Third-Party Reliance: No third party may rely on the drawings without our written consent.
6. Fees & Payment
6.1 Quoted Fees: Fees are quoted per project based on the scope and information provided.
6.2 Variations: Additional work resulting from scope changes, missing information, or increased certification requirements will be charged as a variation.
6.3 Certification Costs: RPEQ fees are included only where expressly stated in writing. Additional engineering time may be charged where requirements increase beyond the agreed scope.
7. Turnaround Times
7.1 Indicative Timeframes: Turnaround times are indicative only and commence once complete information is received.
7.2 Fast Track Services: Fast Track delivery is subject to prior engineering approval and timely client cooperation.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant services.
8.2 Excluded Losses: We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including project delays or third-party rejection.
8.3 Engineering Liability: Professional engineering liability rests with the RPEQ engineer in accordance with their professional obligations and agreed scope.
9. White Labelling
9.1 White-Label Delivery: Where requested, deliverables may be issued without our branding.
9.2 No Change to Responsibility: White-labelling does not alter responsibility, scope, or liability under these terms.
10. Governing Law
10.1 Jurisdiction: These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
